International exhibitors’ guidance
On behalf of The Kennel Club, welcome to the world’s greatest dog show. Crufts celebrates all that is great about man’s best friend. With all the fantastic displays and the Discover Dogs area at the show, there will be some 27,000 dogs enjoying their special day at Crufts over the four days.
The welfare of your dog during transport
Key points to remember to minimise stress and avoid injury and unnecessary suffering
Planning your journey
- Minimise the length of the journey as much as possible
- If using commercial carriers during the journey make sure you know their terms and conditions and are able to comply
- Take forecast weather into consideration and adapt your times of travel to avoid travelling when the weather is particularly hot or cold
- Make sure the route you take enables you to give your dog plenty of toilet, water and food breaks out of the vehicle

Fitness to travel and preventing injury or suffering
- Your dog should be fit and healthy enough to undertake the intended journey
- Your dog will travel better if it does not have a full stomach – provide only a light meal about 2 hours before the journey starts
- We would not recommend sedating your dog before transport — If you do give your pet a sedative you should carry a certificate which states the drug, dosage, and the date and time it was given.
- Containers used must be of a suitable size for your dog. The dog must be able to stand naturally without any impediment, lie down and turn around within the container.
- Ensure your dog has had the opportunity to become familiar with any transport container you intend to use to minimise stress.
- Make sure you give your dog opportunity to toilet before transport commences
During the journey
- Make sure containers are safely positioned and secure
— Cannot move when you accelerate, brake or go round corners
-Are easy to get to so you can check your pet and get it out of the vehicle as necessary
-Are not exposed to strong sunlight or drafts - Ventilation around containers must be maximised – avoid loading any other luggage around at least 3 sides of the container
- Do not place any heavy luggage on the container
- Make sure you are carrying enough water, and food if necessary
- Regularly check your pet during the journey, offer water frequently and provide toilet and exercise breaks in safe places.

The welfare of animals in transport is covered by EU Regulation 1/2005, implemented in England by The Welfare of Animals (Transport) (England) Order 2006 (WATEO 2006) and parallel legislation in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Under Articles 4 and 5(1)(a) of WATEO 2006, there is a general duty of care provision protecting animals from being transported in a way which causes or is likely to cause them injury or unnecessary suffering.
EU Regulation 1/2005 and certain provisions of WATEO 2006 relate to the transport of animals in connection with an economic activity. If these provisions apply to you, there may be additional requirements when transporting your dog. Where APHA Inspectors identify transport conditions that are not compliant with Article 4 or Article 5(1)(a) of WATEO 2006 they will take or direct action to be taken
Overseas qualifying shows
In order to show your dog in the UK (and at Crufts), your dog must be already registered with The Kennel Club or you must have obtained an authority to compete (ATC) number from The Kennel Club.
You must have also qualified at one of the below shows.
Note: Dogs with cropped ears are not eligible to compete at any Kennel Club licensed event.

Документы
Регистрация собак для участия в выставке производится при предоставлении следующего пакета документов:
— Заполненный заявочный лист на одну собаку, подписанный владельцем (или заявка через ЗООПОРТАЛ)
— копия родословной собаки
— копия квитанции об оплате добровольного целевого взноса участника.
— копии международных рабочих сертификатов и чемпионских сертификатов при регистрации в рабочий класс и класс чемпионов. Без предоставления вышеперечисленных сертификатов регистрация на выставку будет производиться в открытый класс.
Запись на Интернациональные выставки в классы, в которых присуждается CACIB – промежуточный, открытый, рабочий, чемпионов, должна проводиться только по экспортной родословной «EXPORT PEDIGREE»
Ответственность за правильность предоставленных данных о собаке несёт заявитель.
Исправления и дополнения в заявочном листе не допускаются. Перевод собаки из класса в класс не допускается.
Требования к заявке
— все сканы документов необходимо присылать только в формате JPG или PDF;
— при регистрации двух и более собак все документы необходимо присылать на каждую собаку отдельным письмом (каждой отдельной заявкой через ЗООПОРТАЛ);
— регистрация собаки осуществляется только при поступлении полного пакета сканированных документов с приложением скана квитанции об оплате добровольного целевого взноса с соблюдением сроков его оплаты (не позднее последнего дня установленного периода);
— пожалуйста, в заявочном листе указывайте действительные контакты (телефон и e-mail)
В случае непредставления владельцами собак указанных документов, а также предоставления документов с нарушением установленных сроков регистрация собак для участия их в выставке не осуществляется.
Целевой взнос
Для правильного внесения в Каталог выставки сведений о собаке при заполнении квитанции или платежного поручения на оплату добровольного целевого взноса на организацию и проведение выставки необходимо указать:
— название выставки;
— породу собаки;
— кличку собаки;
— класс;
— ФИО владельца собаки.
Взнос владельцу собаки возвращается только в случае гибели собаки, подтвержденной справкой, выданной Гос.вет.клиникой, если справка предоставлена в оргкомитет выставки до окончания регистрации.
Ветеринарные требования
Каждому участнику при себе необходимо в обязательном порядке иметь ВЕТЕРИНАРНЫЙ ПАСПОРТ с отметками государственной ветеринарной клиники о вакцинации против бешенства, проведённой не ранее чем 30 дней и не позднее 1 года до начала выставки. При получении сопроводительных документов Ф-1 и Ф-4 для участия на выставке собак может потребоваться назвать площадку в системе Меркурий, номер предприятия в реестре и номер предприятия в ИС «Цербер» — требования уточняйте у организатора.
В случае отсутствия ветеринарного паспорта сотрудник ветконтроля имеет полное право не допустить собаку к участию в выставке.
